MELANIE STRYDER ; Sophia Bush You know how it can sometimes be completely impossible to cast the main charactersfrom books you love? Yeah, this wasn't one of those books. As soon as I started thinkingabout casting I knew Sophia was my dream for Mel. For some reason, to me, it just fitsphysically. And Sophia is amazing so I know she could handle Wanda's innocence and fear, and also play Mel's strength really well.Vos sabés cómo a veces puede ser completamente imposible actuar a los personajes principales de tus libros favoritos? WANDERER ; Brittany Snow
Wanda was also really easy to cast. I wanted someone who was blonde and kind ofpetite looking. They kept saying she looked like someone you would want to protect andthat made me think of Hayden Panetierre and Brittany Snow. In the end I chose Brittanybecause she has those eyes that just scream "protect me, I'm a sweetie" and I thinkBrittany would play an incredible Wanda.Wanda era también realmente fácil para actuar. IAN O'SHEA ; Ian Somerhalder
Ian was a little difficult to cast because I really wanted someone who could lookintimidating and frightening if he wanted to, like in the beginning of the book, but couldturn into a total softy at the drop of a hat. Ian Somerhalder fit the bill. It helped that Icould so easily picture him going to his knees and begging Wanda not to leave him. Andlook at that smile. Adorable.Ian era un poco difícil de actuar porque realmente quise a alguien que podría mirar e intimidar e Ian Somerhalder encaja perfecto. JARED HOWE ; Jensen Ackle
Another easy one! I admit though, I didn't think of him all on my own. But thesecond someone suggested Jensen, I was completely sold. He's perfect. Super pretty butin angry-ish kind of way a lot of the time. If that makes sense. He has that wholewounded look going for him too.¡Otro fácil! Admito que yo no pensé en él sola. JAMIE STRYDER ; Skandar Keynes
Jamie was harder. I had no idea how I wanted to cast him at all. I literally satdown and just googled every young male actor I could think of and eventually Chroniclesof Narnia and Skandar came to mind. Jamie is described as having shaggy black curls andchocolate brown eyes and so Skandar looks the part perfectly.Jamie era más difícil. No tuve ni idea como quise que lo actúen en absoluto. Literalmente me senté y solamente googleé cada actor jóven masculino yo podría pensar y tarde o temprano en Crónicas de Narnia y Skandar vino a la memoria. Jamie es descrito teniendo rizos peludos negros y los ojos negros de chocolate, asi que Skandar se parece perfectamente.
LA BUSCADORA; Elisabeth Harnois
A lot of people favor Elisabeth for Wanda, but something about those eyes saysmore "run away!" than "protect me!". Wanda mentions a lot that her eyes look threateningand so Elisabeth really seemed to fit. Elisabeth also played super creepy Christina inPoint Pleasant so I'm pretty sure she could creepy again, no problem.Mucha gente favorecía a Elisabeth para Wanda, pero algo sobre aquellos ojos dice más "se escapan" que "protéjanme ". Wanda menciona mucho que sus amenazas de mirada de ojos y entonces Elisabeth realmente pareció caber. Elisabeth también jugó a Christina súper espeluznante en El Punto Agradable entonces estoy bastante seguro ella no podría espeluznante otra vez, ningún problema.
DOC ; Paul Bettany
Doc was the hardest to cast for some reason. I didn't want him to really look likeanyone else in the cast, since Doc seems so emotionally isolated it seemed fitting that hewould look different, but I also wanted him to be bookish and doctor-looking. EventuallyPaul Bettany popped into my head. If you picture him with glasses on and looking kind ofsad, it works.Doc era lo más difícil para actuar por cualquier razón. The second I decided to cast Uncle Jeb I knew it had to be Will Patton. Just take asecond and imagine him crossing his arms and kind of muttering "Well, now, seems like Idon't have my shotgun on me at the moment, Jared".
